We need a strong and experienced leader in Concord. COVID-19 has had a crippling effect on our states' service industry and tourist economy. When the economy is sick, you call a businessperson. I have navigated my company, Great North Property Management, through many economic challenges for over 30 years. We have been through the attacks of September 11th, the market crash, and many more crises. Now more than ever, we need a State Senator who can really do the necessary work and make the tough choices to get New Hampshire’s economy prosperous for our citizens and business leaders again. There are far too many people unemployed and business owners are struggling to hold onto all they have worked for. We need to help them!
The answers to our struggles will not include new or higher taxes. I will NEVER support a state income tax or sales tax. Our revenues are going to fall short in the near future and we are going to have to make tough choices. I’ve made these decisions in the past as a two term State Rep when I represented North Hampton and Stratham. I’ll make them for District 24 and the state. We are going to have to tighten our belts in order to create the best possible environment for a recovery. Now is not a time for increased state spending. I will support a balanced budget along with policies that will help our economy regain its strength and get us back to a robust economy and full employment.
As an experienced legislature and seasoned entrepreneur I understand that our towns will need both economic and financial support now more than ever. Aside from having served as a State Rep, I am a Selectman in my hometown of Hampton Falls. Decreases in state revenues will mean that our towns face getting shorted by the state and that means taxpayers will suffer with cost shifting. I know this firsthand. As your State Senator, I will work hard to minimize these affects and that once our economy is sound, towns will get the funding they need.
The coming years are going to be difficult for many of our residents and their families and friends. With my background and business successes I have the needed experience necessary to make the best economic and financial choices for our district and for our state. I am doing this for you, our children and our grandchildren!
My wife Mary and I have made New Hampshire our home for decades. We adopted the traditional values of New Hampshire and believe in the state’s motto to Live Free or Die and the New Hampshire Advantage. I love New Hampshire and our district very much and I know together we will rebuild our economy and be stronger than ever before.
I ask for your vote in the Republican Primary on Tuesday September 8th.

Experience
Lou’s first job was an Army officer. While in the military, Lou served in a variety of leadership roles. This training empowered Lou to learn how to communicate. He said; “Without communication, you cannot lead. It requires more than a vision when communicating; your direction necessitates concise communication.”
Lou has transferred these values to his business. After Lou was honorably discharged from the military, he joined The Stop & Shop Companies ultimately becoming the regional Vice President. In this role he supervised approximately 4000 employees both directly and indirectly.
Asked how he managed so many employees he said; “I approach management in a firm, but fair manner. You must lead by example. I learned from the army: When you give someone direction to carry out a task, it must come from you. You can’t say, “People up top are asking me to do this. When you give a directive, it has to come from you.”
Lou was also a member of the New Hampshire State Legislature. As a member, Lou introduced several pieces of legislation that were designed to benefit condominium living and proved his advocacy of condominium associations. Lou has been in the property management business since 1990. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in New Hampshire and is a member of the Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce. He is also involved with the Condominium Association Institute at the national level and a member of the CEO Committee. Lou has also served as a member of the board of directors of the Seacoast Repertory Theatre and ultimately became President of this Board serving in that role for five (5) years.
Lou is the Chief Executive Officer of an expansive business that manages over 350 properties throughout New England with over 25 billion dollars of real estate assets under management. In 1990 Lou launched Great North Property Management, now an Exeter, NH based firm that specializes in managing privately owned Condominium and Home Owner’s Associations. In over 30 years, he has grown the Company to more than 150 employees. It is now New England’s largest provider for community association management for privately owned condominiums and homes.
